Overview

If you wish to visit Spain for a short period of time, you must obtain a visa prior to entry if you come from a country with a visa requirement for entering Spain.

Short Stay visas allow the holder to transit through or remain in Spanish territory and all other Schengen States for a maximum period of three months (90 days) within a period of six months (180 days) from the entry date into the Schengen Area. Nationals from countries included in the list of countries with the obligation to carry a visa in order to cross external borders must be in possession of this visa. ALGIERS

Documents required for the visa application center in Algiers - Sports / Cultural / Artistic / Scientific Checklist

Important Information :

Please read the Important Information before visiting the Visa Application Centre :

1. Visa applicants are requested to appear in person at BLS Application Centre at the time of submission.

2. Only applicants travelling within the next 3 months (90 days) can submit their application

3. For Oran Consulate, Travel Insurance should be valid for 90 days obligatory from the travel date.

4. For Algiers Consulate, Travel insurance should be valid for minimum of 8 days.

5. Parental permission (mother and/or father) is required if the applicant is minor (less than 19 years old) and when applicant is applying and/or travelling alone.

6. Applicant has to submit residence proof for passports issued outside the jurisdiction of the Consulate. Please check the jurisdiction under the book appointment section.

7. Below Documents have to be submitted in Original:

  • Recent family civil status,
  • recent bank statements for atleast 3 months. The statements should be in Dinars and Euro

8. All the documents submitted must be in French or Spanish. If the original is in Arabic, the translation should be submitted alongwith original version.

9. Flight tickets should be for the onward and return journey.

10. Incomplete, unclear or unsigned applications will not be accepted

11. Visa fees are non-refundable and have to be paid only in cash at the time of application

12. If the visit involves two or more Schengen countries, the Embassy responsible for the issuance of the visa will be:

  • The Embassy of the country in which the traveller is going to stay the longest.
  • If the traveller is to stay the same time in different Schengen countries, the Embassy of the country of first entry.

Please note granting a visa is the prerogative of the Embassy of Spain for each application. Submission of all the documents does not imply right to be granted a visa.

ORAN

Photo Specifications

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

  • Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
  • Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
  • Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
  • Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
  • Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..

Processing Time

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Embassy of Spain/Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Embassy of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days (It may delay depending on case to case).

All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.

Kindly note if application submitted in Satellite centre, it may take up to 48-72 hours in transit to Oran/Algiers. All the applications received from Satellite centers will be sent to Embassy/Consulate on next working day

Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.

Applicants submitting the applications with short processing time will be required to fill up the Declaration form
